Mary Alice Park Beach

Planning to check out Mary Alice Park Beach this weekend. The website says they close it if it reaches capacity. Does anyone know if it's typicallly really busy and we need to get there early? Or can you just cruise in at 11 am and enjoy?

Curious what Orchard Hill / Dorms are like today

I went to UMass many years ago and lived in Orchard Hill. My nephew is going to UMass and I'm wondering how much the culture has changed.

When I lived in Orchard Hill it was a great place to make friends who were just nice, smart, maybe kind of nerdy people. It was the opposite of Southwest, which was the jock area. There were kids who were majoring in all things (business, arts, science, english, etc.). People liked to party but also do their homework. We had a Bowl Dance every spring.

Central was alright, but leaned towards hippies / weed smokers.

Northeast was a lot of engineering and Asian students.

Sylvan was a depressing, antisocial area.

Could anyone let me know what the current pulse is?

Looking for the name of a book about a mouse and cats...

In the book, a mouse sneaks into an apartment and piles up scraps of food in his hands. He runs out of the apartment when he sees a cat. He makes it out to the fire escape and he's headed toward the next apartment, which has 3 cats in the window.

Anyone know this book? I read it to my oldest and now I'm looking for it for my youngest. Thanks!

The Last Firehawk series

Does anyone know if they are still writing The Last Firehawk books? My son said the last one ended on a cliffhanger but there's not a lot of information online about this series.
