Estimated year of release: Mid-1990s (roughly 1994–1997)
Graphics/art style: Fully animated, cartoony, brightly coloured. Similar era/style to Adiboo and the Brøderbund/Coktel kids’ ranges.
Notable characters: A crew of about three who travel around in a boot-shaped ship they call “Big Boot.” One is a black bird (crow/blackbird type) possibly with a British accent. Another is a human or at least a humanoid alien. It has a slightly sci-fi, spaceship-y feel rather than a plain wellington.
Notable gameplay/details:
**•** A recurring song the crew sing: *“Hoot hoot rooty toot, here comes Big Boot.”*
**•** The ship had explorable rooms, including a bathroom. In the bathroom you could click a bar of soap and it would sing “I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles” — blowing bubbles as it sang — until the bird pecked one and popped it.
Other details: Almost certainly got it in a budget kids’ compilation. Not a long or complex game. Already ruled out: Playtoons, Junior Field Trips, the Let’s Explore/Buzzy series, and the Adiboo/Coktel toddler titles.
