Well, my mini C was pretty okay till recently, when ghosting got worse. I've seen some posts complaining about this specially on Mini C and Tab ultra (mine's got that TCONB thing ive seen some people talking about).
I'm kinda wondering if im just overreacting or is it a bit too much and starting to go downhill like the other devices on here (it disappears with full refresh but is back as soon as we change apps or pages)
Firmware 3.5.4 (it says 09/2024 here so i think its 3.5.4) and not really planning on update since ive seen some people complaining theirs got even worse after the updates
Well, basically, I own both a Kindle Paperwhite Signature 11th gen that was my main device for manga, until I bought my Boox Tab Mini C, which made me basically retire my paperwhite, and I swore to myself that android was the way for manga and I was never going back to kindle manga wise again (because at my south american internet's speed and my old PC's speed the process to ~obtain~ the manga, convert to a format paperwhite could read and sideload was quite time consuming) while with Android i could simply open whatever app (like shounen Jump, manta, and others) on whatever format (including cbz and cbr) to read.
That said, my barely two year old Boox device started to present some issues, while my paperwhite is thriving, and the durability made me make a second thought on this.
I would really like to know, please, if you don't mind, ask you guys that use kindle for manga some questions before i consider spending thrice the minimum wage where i live on this device:
1) how's been so far and if you encountered any issues manga wise.
2) Are you able to write DIRECTLY on the manga with the pen? I read some raws here and there and I tend to circle and write comments directly on the page regarding kanji i don't know. I also like to draw over the characters, stylize some clothes (lmao) and others. This is a VERY important feature to me.
(I've heard with a recent update it's apparently possible with some formats like PDF but i decided to check with y'all since it's a very important feature to me)
3) What format do you mainly use with manga? PDF, Mobi, any other?
4) I'm somewhat familiar with the process of transfering manga to a kindle device, since i used it for paperwhite, but i would really like to know what main process do you use to do the whole sending and converting process, because It's been a while for me and it was what drove me away from kindle, so i wonder how it is right now and if it got any better/faster.
There are plenty information on kindle scribe online, but most don't really answer the things i wondered, and since I'm really Between Boox 10.3 Gen 2 Lumi and the 11'' Scribe I would really appreciate your help, since both are really hard to obtain and really expensive where i live.
Thnx in advance.
Well, basically, I own a Boox Tab Mini C and since my main use case is manga, i want to change to a 10" (or bigger) B&W screen because it's brighter but I didn't want to downgrade the EMR pen and frontlight my Tab Mini C already has.
From what I've seen, they are quite rare lately :(
