I just passed my 45th birthday and have been wearing glasses/contact lenses since the third grade. Everytime I get a new pair of glasses it's the same old headache. The glasses are too tight around the ears or the glasses are too loose and slide down my nose, the opticians always give me a difficult time adjusting the glasses, etc etc.

This time around I had my glasses custom made and still they slide down my nose. $650 down the drain. Not to mention, I told him the optician, the Eyezen is making the lenses blurry on the sides of the lenses. He wanted to send me back to the doctor but I said it seems like a flaw with the lenses. Something's wrong with them. He then threw the ole, "well apparently you know my job better than me", and basically asked me to leave. I resisted and said I have another pair of glasses to try on. The second pair with the same prescription worked fine, however, that pair didn't have the Eyezen because they were sunglasses.

I'm tired of this nonsense. I can't be bothered with going in every two years, spending all this money on glasses that don't fit, and now the lenses are wonky. I wear glasses for distance (near-sighted). Does LASIK surgery actually work or is it hit or miss? I'd hate to go spend all that money just to have it only be 75% affective and back to wearing glasses again.

Hey all. I just moved into a new home and noticed there's not a single exterior outlet. It would be nice to have a few installed for Christmas lights, or cinema night by the fire. What's the going rate these days to have, let's say 3 boxes installed on a 1400 sq/ft house in NY?
