We plan to hit the track during the day and go to Harvey's for dinner but im not sure what to hit as far as bars go on Caroline st.
We drink alot and like busy standing bars but dont love club scenes. Live music/ karaoke is a plus. Anyone have any reccomendations?
Hello Saratoga. I grow mushrooms organically, specifically Lion’s Mane, and am wondering if anyone has any advice, recommendations of restaurants, or interest, or other channels I can use to help my mushrooms find people who want to eat them. They are grown using rye berries, sawdust, soybean hulls, and organic gypsum.
My husband loooves cookies. Chocolate chip with sea salt is his favorite, but really is just a cookie guy and any will do. He never gets a real cookie anymore because my son and I are both allergic to wheat so he’s always worried about cross contamination.
I’m packing him a surprise picnic to take to SPAC on Friday night as a thank you for being such a good husband and dad. He really went above and beyond for me this week. So I want to give him some really good cookies that he can eat away from us to actually enjoy a yummy, non-gluten free cookie.
But of course I’ve never tried any cookies from any bakeries that aren’t gluten free so I don’t know where is best to go! Anyone have any cookie recommendations in Saratoga? I don’t mind the cost! I just want to surprise him with something special!

For anyone unfamiliar: open captions are like subtitles or closed captioning on your TV, but they're built into the movie itself and shown right on the big screen for the whole theater to see - no special glasses, app, or device needed.

This will be my first Travers day and I have a few questions on what to expect.....
I know gates open at 9. What If I pre order tickets and I don't get there until 12, will I be ok to get in?
How crazy busy is it during the races before the Tavers itself? Will I still be able to get somewhere to see the race?
I Know coolers are allowed, are they still on Travers Day and will a cooler backpack be ok?

Is Lago by Druthers currently the best restaurant on Saratoga Lake? If so a lot more competition is needed on that side of town.

Hellooo corgi friends! My best girl, Maggie, was selected to be a racer at the Saratoga Race Track Corgi Cup this year on August 16. After hoping to do this for a year, we are ecstatic!
The race track requires that one comes with a second person, so catch and release duties can be split. I imagine there is also a safety and liability component here. However, my second person just bailed. 🫠
At such short notice, I’ve asked everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, I know if they’d be my second, and I’m coming up dry. We have to travel for this event, so it’s quite a tall ask. I really do not want to have to drop out; my girl loves Fast CAT so I know she’d be a natural.
Wondering if there are any other corgi people on this sub, who are also racing that weekend, and have an additional person in their group who might want to be my second?
Alternatively, if you went last year—do you think there is a member of staff who would stand in? I realize this is probably a slim chance given liability.

We have a group of girls going to Saratoga Springs for the horse race and we got tickets to the Michelob Ultra Stretch section. I see that the tickets list 11am as the start time but also saw that the races are every 30 mins or so — should we all plan to arrive whenever?
Would appreciate any help/advice on generally what time we should arrive, expectations of food and drinks, etc!
Other than the horse race we are planning to maybe add 1/2 more stops in the city (to get lunch, check out the springs). We will be there in the morning and plan to leave by around 4pm or so. Thank you!
