My daughter (who lives out of state) recommended a “structured builder gel manicure” (BIAB) for my short nails. I’m hoping to have a long-lasting manicure for an upcoming family event. I think a woodpecker has become obsessed with the vinyl siding on my house. Every now and then I can hear pecking. Took these photos today. Any suggestions how to handle this? Could there be bugs under the siding that they’re going after? Is this a bigger problem than meets the eye? Please let me know your thoughts and any suggestions. THANK YOU!
My grocery always seems to be out of escarole. Can I substitute baby broccoli- broccolini - for the leafy greens in a recipe for Italian white bean and escarole soup?
EDIT: I should have reworded this because I bought the broccolini and already prepped it. I guess I’m asking if this substitute will turn out ok? I normally purée some of the bean/broth mixture - but if I purée the broccolini I’m thinking the soup color will be GREEN?!

63F, starting physical therapy soon, 2X per week. I’m overweight, exhausted and verge on having agoraphobia. Since I don’t do anything most days, I only shower every few days. (in between full bathes or showers I use a perineal cleanser and adult wipes and soap on wash clothes)
I’m worried about how CLEAN I am when I’m going to be close to another person and exercising. I’m not talking about odor, but more things like dry skin, flaky scalp, missed spots of leg hair.
I have no confidence in myself to be out in public and in such close proximity to my physical therapist.
Any suggestions or advice please? Of course I will be showering before each appointment, but I’m still self conscious My clothing is neat, my sneakers are comfortable and stylish and I will wear my hair in a ponytail.

The front porch on my single family home get a lot a rain run off, so much so that the concrete can stay wet days after a big rain. It seeps about 10” from that one step. Never as far as the front door. It’s been happening long enough that the wood columns are soaking up that water too.
What type of professional would I call to assess the problem? Roofer? Gutter

I pay for 4 lines - myself and my three (ADULT) kids (I know, but it’s ok, if I can help make their lives easier I do) My issue is that 2 of my kids share the “location services” with me, my middle daughter refuses.
Middle daughter is married and her MIL works for AT&T. I’m frustrated and upset with my daughter. She is finally going to get onto her MILs plan (as is her husband), ok but this skirts the entire point of me wanting to know her whereabouts and vice versa.
Any advice on how to accept her stubbornness?
It’s such a treat when my kids, their spouses, significant others and my granddaughter come to visit. Everyone lives in different states across the country, so unfortunately it’s not that often.
I live in a great small town with many tourist attractions, outdoor activities and dining options. It’s a summer destination for many people with lots to do.
I have mobility problems and am not able to participate in any activities other than dining out and entertaining them inside my home. I love to cook and bake and entertain, so that’s always a pleasure for me.
Here’s what I’m struggling with emotionally: should I accept the current limitations on my life and let them explore on their own, because I honestly feel it’s ok. I don’t feel left out. I encourage, for example if they’re awake before me, to go out for a run or coffee or whatever. They always check in and respect any plans I may have made.
I enjoy being their “tour guide” in the car, showing them new places or attractions. I stay behind in my car and wait their return. I don’t feel left out.
Am I missing out on life? I don’t feel that way. I’m trying to convince myself my life is full and I am loved.
Need some guidance and encouragement as a person with mobility issues: how do I navigate SPAC if I use a walker? I’m so intimidated about maneuvering such a large space. I want the be in the main amphitheater and it appears there are handicapped seats available. Do they provide transportation from your car to your seat? Do I specifically purchase a seat labeled “handicapped” when I order online? I would be attending by myself, so one ticket. Thank you for any advice!

63F using Tretinoin .025mg for about 4 months now. Can someone tell me what these raised “growths” are - they literally appear over just a few days time - couldn’t get a better photo. I’ve researched they may be keloids and this is concerning to me. They are appearing in multiple areas.
