Beginner DMX / Rave setup
Hey all, I'm making my first stab at coordinated lighting for few house parties a friend of mine will be DJing at. I have two house parties lined up where I will be responsible for lighting.
Here's what's on my current shopping list (prices in CAD).
2x ZKYMZL Moving Head Mini Wash 50W = $138
4x OPPSK 36LED Par Light = $99
2x YeeSite LED Stage Pixel Light Bar = $109
Enttec DMX USB Pro = $231
A bunch of various length DMX Cables = ~$86
All told, this comes to around $660 CAD. I've seen this sub be generally pretty strongly against cheap fixtures from amazon/ebay/ali. This is definitely a *hobby* I want to get better and practice at over time, and maybe eventually do small shows and setups for friends.
So, would my money be better spent buying fewer lights of higher quality? Is this a good selection of light types to start out with? Curious to hear what this sub thinks.
I also have three 5m LED strips driven by WLED already in my kit.
