Game mechanics without complex coding?

Hi everyone! I'm attending a 24h game jam with three classmates as a scholar project. We're planning to use Unity but there are only two of us (my friend and I) who are "used" to Unity and its interface, but we're not specialized as game developpers you know (basically, we have the basis and a game jam experience x))

If you know about old Resident Evil games, we're using a similar trick with a fixed 2D background and a 2D character moving into that background with a bunch of colliders to create a 3D effect.

Example that inspired us: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZN8kqg5aK/

So, that was for the context haha. Now, I'm wondering if y'all have any tips or tutorials about game mechanics that we can include in our game without too much code? I already checked some tutorials but any idea that comes from the community would be helpful! We thought about some point and click mechanics, which is pretty easy to make as I did it before, but also pretty repetitive.

Sorry if there's any mistake, English isn't my first language. Thanks for helping! <3

Tips for a beginner

Hi! I recently started playing Stardew Valley, I already have some basis and knowledge because I played the game a bit before but I still consider that I'm a true beginner. Do you have any tips when someone just started playing? Like something you wish you knew. I still don't know which things it's important to keep, which ones I should sell, what I should do with the trash I find while fishing lmao

Thank you for helping me, I'm sorry if it's a request that's been posted here over and over again, I'm not a big user of Reddit
