Overgrown silo for WH40K / Killteam

Just finished off this MDF kit from TTCombat and wanted to share - first time painting an MDF terrain piece and really enjoyed the process!

Painted it up to match some existing plastic GW terrain I've done previously, and I'm pretty pleased with the result. A few work in progress photos included as well.

My first painted killteam! Pride-inspired farstalker kinband

Had a lot of fun painting these guys up, not my first kroot models or contrast painted models but definitely the ones I'd spent most time on with individual colours and details. I wanted to make them subtly pride-themed so the kroot all have one of the colours of the progress pride flag (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, pink, light blue, white and black). Most of my kroot have the green skin tones you can see here, but I wanted to see what other shades looked good on kroot skin (answer: lots of them). The way I've thought about the group is that they're not all from the same kinband, but they're more of a "found family" with members from all over the place who've tagged along at one time or another.

I think the hounds are actually the first kroot models I painted using contrast paint and I really loved how they turned out, which cemented my decision to do the rest of the kroot with contrast paints too.

The kroothawk is based on a red kite - we sometimes get them flying over our house!

Also made up and painted a random scatter terrain piece or objective marker (?) at the same time using spare crisis suit bits and some square bases I ordered by mistake...!
