A few days ago lang po, yung flat building namin ay nilipat ng direct owner (old owner) to a real estate company (new owner). Si new owner, nagbigay ng notice kahapon na irequest na daw any pending maintenance/repair requests kasi by Sep 1, kami na daw imbes ang owner ang magbabayad ng repair costs (tas bawal daw magdala ng 3rd party ganon).

Ang main problema: kaninang hapon, narinig ko sa mga kapitbahay (btw, di ako owner ng flat, kamaganak ako) na may nareceive daw silang papel from new owner na ang sabe, umalis daw kami bago mag Sep 1?? di ba illegal yun?

Just a few days ago, our flat building was handed over to a real estate company from direct owner. The new owner (real estate) gave us a notice yesterday to request for any maintenance fix before this month ends because by September, us, tenants will be covering for any maintenance/repair costs.

Just now, I heard from my neighbors that they received a paper from the new owner to sign saying: the contract will be terminated by the end of the month.

Is that legal?
