Meeting people in your 20s

Hey!

I’m a 23 y/o female in Tacoma. I grew up on Washington’s east side and eventually ended up over here. I’ve been here for a few months but have only met a handful of people, most of who I was never really able to fully connect with, so I’m really lacking a sense of community here.

What do you guys do to meet people around this age? Coffee shops? Parks? Maybe a bar, but I can’t seem to find many great places where it’s the vibe I could go in alone for a drink. It’s hard to connect organically anymore and have just never had a great experience with dating apps/apps like bumble bff.

So, looking for suggestions. Thanks!

Restaurant/nanny work in meridian

Hi all!!

I’m planning on relocating from western Washington to the meridian area. I’ve bounced around and lived a few places so I’m experienced with life getting expensive, but the biggest change for me will be the minimum wage pay cut.

So, my two questions—

Servers in meridian, do you make a good amount in tips? Enough to get you by? I have a few years of serving experience, including fine dining/high traffic restaurants. How hard is it to get hired?

The past few months I’ve been nannying (although I have been off and on for a while now). What does a nanny typically get paid in the area, and what is considered fair? I am going to school for elementary education online.

If anyone would feel comfortable sharing what they pay for rent and what they make, that would also be very helpful information to consider, as I’m trying to get my finances sorted for October.

Thanks in advance!
