Recommendations for nice bedding and linen

Had my second child 12 days ago and am having a bit of a delayed nesting phase.

Had a bit of a “summer clean”, and looking for some nice new towels, duvet sets, flat sheets etc. Any brands / sites you can recommend that are worth the money?

Edit: thank you for all your responses, lots of lovely websites to look at!

Quick question about Alpha

I joined the Alpha pension scheme before November 2021, so I understand that I can access my pension from age 55, with an actuary reduction.

If I do access at 55, would the actuary reduction be ~45% (4.5% reduction for taking 10 years early), or would it be 59% (4.5% reduction for taking 13 years early, based on my national pension age of 68 )?

Or have I completely have the wrong end of the stick?

Are you doing it out of your lasagna?

We’re teaching our son (3) to use the words penis and vagina and he mostly has the hang of it.

As I’m sure most parents experience, you get no privacy in the bathroom because they want to come with you. He does his wee in the potty, I go on the toilet. He seems curious and asks:

“Are you weeing?”

“Yep”

“Oh. But you don’t have a penis.”

“No you’re right..” and before I can say anything else

He tried to take a good look and says “are you doing it out of your lasagna?!”

Lasagna was on the menu that night and I couldn’t stop laughing. Kids say the funniest things.

EDIT: these comments are so funny. I’ve loved reading each and every one of them. So glad that kids these days are learning about their bodies without shame.

Also learned about hyenas pseudo penis and the etymology of vulva. Every day’s a school day!

Income protection insurance

Apologies if this isn’t an appropriate post here. Please remove if needed.

I’ve been in the civil service for almost 10 years and I’m a PCS member.

I’ve a toddler and another child due in July. I really enjoy my job, and always felt like there is a good amount of job security in my role and department. However, with the current lay of the land, I’ve felt more… nervous.

For those with income protection insurance, are there any providers you rate that take into account CS sick/redundancy pay and timeframes?

TIA
