Do 1st year btech students experience ragging in hostel

I have approx 95 percent marks in 12th and I want engineering college but the thing is that I have registered for jee but not able to give it due to circumstance so if I fill just my registration no. There do they cross verify it or I should not fill it and best engineering colleges that I can get without jee I wanna know
