Months ago I made a tool that estimates when games could hit Humble Choice and other subscription services. I just gave it an overhaul and resharing here.

Some of you guys might remember this one from the original post months ago, and i would like to reshare it now that i just updated it with new info, layout, and algorithm.

It is a small project that tries to estimate when games might appear on Subscription services. It supports Humble Choice, PlayStation Plus, Gamepass, or the Epic Games Store giveaways.

It's built in Python, with a separate model for each service, trained on about 5,300 past arrivals going back to 2013. The data is current as of 25 September 2026, and the plan is to update it at least quarterly, and more often when I have time. The models look at the publisher's track record on that service, whether the game has been on the service before, Metacritic scores, and release timing.

What you get for each game:

  • A best-guess date plus a realistic range around it, shown on a timeline so you can see how firm it is
  • Whether it's already on Game Pass or PS Plus Extra (as of the last update), including officially announced join and leave dates
  • If a game is already past its best-guess date, the chance it arrives in the next year instead of an out-of-date estimate
  • For games that have been on a service before, their measured chance of coming back
  • The publisher's earlier games on that service and how long each took to arrive, so you can sanity-check the estimate
  • How often past predictions for that service landed close to the real date
  • Sony's own PS4/PS5 games on Extra are dated from Sony's record since Extra launched, and Microsoft's day-one games and Call of Duty's Game Pass timing come straight from their published policies
  • A shareable link and image for predictions, with the game's art and a QR code back to it

Game info comes from the RAWG.io API, which is crowdsourced and not perfect. If the RAWG search fails, you can enter the game name and publisher yourself.

Again the data is thanks to u/appsolutelywonderful, u/i-pax, u/ABattleVet, PCGamer
(link to appsolutelywonderful's original thread here for the humble bundle data), and evenwebb's Epic Free Games Scraper on GitHub.

It's not meant to be taken as fact, just a fun data-driven experiment. The best guess lands within a year of the real date about 3 to 6 times in 10, depending on the service, so treat it as a rough "when", not a specific date.

The backend runs on a free tier that sleeps after 15 minutes of inactivity. Games already in the site's data answer instantly, but for anything else the first search after a quiet spell can take up to a minute while it wakes up. The site starts waking it as soon as you open the page, and it's quick after that. Thanks for your patience!

If anyone’s curious or wants to check it out, here is the link: https://epic-gamepass-when.vercel.app/

If you run into a bug, have a suggestion, or get a funny prediction (like a game predicted to arrive unrealistically soon lol), let me know in the comments!

Say that again

Nomad and Mitchell taking about John (Ghost Recon Future Soldier Protagonist). I laughed my ass off during this scene and reminded me of the legendary meme.

Last year I started a 2026 Bingo card. Now we're ~8/12 of the way through the year.

Last year I started a Bingo here.

Now that we're almost 8/12 through the year, I was curious to see if we're anywhere near a BINGO so I decided to update it.

Two big question marks: I'm not sure if we can already check 'performance optimization patch' as done, there's been numerous patches now but have you guys felt it?

also, for the Megaboss, do you think the Vox Engine is considered a megaboss ? or should i leave the entry unchecked still?

Also if you see anything i'd missed please let me know.

I think the new Steam Deck SRPs will be cross-subsidizing the Steam Machine's launch SRP

Just a crazy theory, but maybe the recent Steam Deck SRP adjustments were a calculated move to cross-subsidize the upcoming Steam Machine so it launches with a better SRP.

Gabe Newell said it the Steam Deck LCD 64GB SRP was "Was 'Painful' but 'Critical'

Valve is at a similar but much more nuanced crossroads today with RAMmageddon. The manufacturing costs are incredibly painful right now, but my theory is that Valve is letting the established Steam Deck line take the brunt of the component inflation. Shoring up those portable margins gives them the exact buffer they need so the Steam Machine's launch price can look much better to the consumer by comparison.

Suddenly, targeting a baseline of $600-$700 for the 512GB version becomes feasible, leaving the 2TB enthusiast model to land right around the $1,000 mark.

And honestly? It’s going to work. The Steam Deck completely sold out its recent restock within 24 hours despite the massive price hikes. The demand is there. By using their mature handheld monopoly to absorb the macroeconomic shock, Valve effectively de-risks the Steam Machine’s launch and builds a pricing shield for their new living-room ecosystem.

Question about 3D Printed Side Panels

i have a question, is the ABS material strong? i have a SKTC A07 and i grip it on one hand on both sides of the panel to carry it sometimes, but not really long range, just to carry it around the house or to pack it up.

Do you think it is durable enough for that kind of gripping? im worried the 3d material would just crumble one day when i'm holding the case on its sides.

The reason is because im about to buy a custom side panel like this for SKTC A07 and the seller is saying the material is ABS

The print is using this design: https://www.printables.com/model/1597646-sktc-a07-custom-side-panels

I recently swapped my RTX 5080 for an RTX 4090 and have encountered a significant increase (placebo?) in VRR flicker on my LG C4 OLED.

Before the switch, I experienced only minor, ignorable VRR flicker, usually only in very dark areas or loading screens. Now, it is noticeably worse, and I’m seeing it in games where I previously had no issues (RE Requiem, Hogwarts Legacy, Helldivers 2). The strange part is that I haven't changed any settings in my display, games, or Nvidia drivers, everything is exactly as it was when I was using the 5080.

Has anyone else experienced a drastic difference in VRR flicker between 40 and 50 series? I'm wondering if the higher frame throughput (even though they're capped to the same 4K136hz and performance is more or less similar) or the older architecture is affecting the panel’s gamma shifts more aggressively.

Looking for any troubleshooting tips or "hidden" settings that might help mitigate this. I'm at a loss as to why the behavior changed so significantly just from the card swap.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
