Hey guys, I’m new to G-Shocks and recently bought a GBD-200 as my first “serious” one.
At first I loved it — the MIP display is incredible and the watch looks super modern. But after a few days, I realized I don’t really care about the Bluetooth features, the running tracking felt inaccurate for my use, and honestly I found the timer kind of annoying to use.
Now I’m considering returning it and getting a G-5600 Tough Solar instead because I like the simplicity and the solar battery idea a lot more.
My only concern is going from the amazing MIP display back to a regular LCD screen.
For people who owned both: which one would you keep long term?
TL;DR: GBD-200 looks amazing, but I may prefer the simplicity and solar battery of the G-5600 Tough Solar. Worried I’ll miss the MIP display.
