I built a browser Mecha Battle Royale, thought this crowd might like it.

As a long-time Mech Warrior fan since Mech Warrior 3, I always wanted to build casual, battle royale style mech combat, but wanted to share with people who actually love mechs: a browser-based mecha battle royale, no installs, drop in and fight to be the last mech standing.

I'd love to hear your feedback: mecharoyale.com

DigitalOcean Ruined the One Thing That Made It Better Than AWS and GCP

One of the main reasons I moved from AWS and GCP to DigitalOcean was the simple, clear UI.

That advantage is gone.

Now the dashboard is cluttered with information I don’t need and AI agent banners I didn’t ask for, while the resources I actually care about are buried behind menus.

Droplets are under Compute. Databases are under Data Services. I can’t even see what I’m running at a glance anymore.

DigitalOcean used to make infrastructure feel simple. This redesign makes it feel like every other cloud platform.

If anyone from the DigitalOcean team is reading this, this is exactly why I’m leaving.

I made a virtual lounge for vibecoders to hang out while claude code is running.

My output has skyrocketed thanks to Claude Code, but I realized I'm spending more of my day alone staring at terminals waiting for it to finish jobs.

So I made Rooftop.chat, a virtual rooftop lounge for vibecoders to hang out and chill.

Rooftop Chat is built with Claude Code. You can walk around, talk over voice or text, sit with people, play pool, or just leave it open while you work.

It's 18+ because the environment includes smoking and other substance-related content.

It'd be really cool to meet fellow redditors here. I'll be hanging out at https://rooftop.chat/ROOFTOP-LOUNGE

Thanks in advance for checking it out!

Edit: I wasn't expecting this many people. Server needs update. Fixing it as quickly as I can! Thank you all for joining!

I made a Pirate MMO with Fable, and the entire game is only 5MB.

I built a procedurally generated pirate MMORPG using Fable.

The entire game is pretty much built using Claude Code. The procedural world generation, gameplay systems, multiplayer features, and much of the supporting game logic. One thing I found especially interesting was how compact the final output became.

The entire game is only 5MB, with no image, 3D model, or sound assets. Everything is generated through code.

The game supports up to 250 players and includes a large world with different landscapes, vegetation, thousands of items, cosmetics, animals, monsters, and ships.

Players can chat, trade, form parties, play poker and blackjack, visit shops and taverns, hunt, forage, fight monsters, participate in world events, sail, upgrade ships, install cannons, and recruit crewmates.

It is free to try in the browser at play.arrr.fun

Edit: Since a few people asked about my workflow, I mainly use runhq.io/arrr

Players submit tickets for new features, bug reports, and improvements. Those tickets are assigned directly to Fable, which implements the change and opens an audited PR. All I usually have to do is review, merge, and deploy. For the last ~1,000 commits, I have barely written any prompts myself.
