Carving turns and teaching analysis feedback
I’ve been starting to work on my teaching analysis for my CSIA level 3 by looking at some of my skiing from last season. I’ve watched this video a few times and some feedback I’ve concluded for myself:
I’m not dynamic enough in my ankles and knees, I need to think more about rolling them onto the new edge to increase my edge angle.
I’m lengthening my body too much during transition instead of maintaining a long and short leg, killing momentum and releasing pressure too slow, losing that weightlessness feeling at the end of the turn and I increasing my transition time.
Would love to hear your thoughts on my feedback, if it’s correct and any additional feedback on my turns.
