Axle event off and running.
Great to see the sig integration working properly now running my investor at max!
Sigen Cloud Emails but no export
Had 3 emails from sigen cloud today, 12:40, 12:47 and 13:28. they all said the system has entered Axle Energy VPP and is supporting the grid and will be put back to normal after.
There were no mode changes on the sigenstor and no export happened.
No events listed in my Axel account.
Modbus Dashboard and data store for Sigenstor
Sharing an app I knocked together.
Basic docker install on something like a raspberry Pi, configure and connect to your inverter or gateway.
As long as the server app remains connected if will store all params, data and alarms to a time series db.
Includes an overview dashboard and energy charting.
Will add parameter editing in the future, see the readme for install and operation. Just a fun project, nothing serious. May build forecasting and control in a future version.

New Solar Battery Install - Deciding on a Tarrif
Will be getting solar and battery installed next week and have been trying to work out if I should look at flux or agile to get a better understanding I asked my friend claude to help.
I have built an analysis that pulls the agile and flux half hours or bands for the last year, added my home half hours for the last year and pulled in the historic solar numbers for my panel configuration for the last year (don't have the panels yet so this is calculated from last year historic solar performance).
I have run each day and each tariff through a battery charge and import/export optimiser processing the half hours to understand the net cost for each tariff each day.
I then ran the last year against my current IO GO tariff to complete the projected saving when applied to the last year.
Other basic parameters, I will have 26kWh usable battery, will reserve 4kWh for emergency backup and have a 10kWH export cap from the DNO.
On the flux side I experimented with 2 optimisation options, force charge the battery to full in the low rate period, or let the optimiser decide, ultimately letting the optimiser decide won out.
The optimiser was instructed to reduce costs and promote revenue.
Obvious to say that all of this is still a projection based on historic data however I think it is more than good enough to make a basic tariff decision.
Ultimately flux won out by a reasonable margin as you can see in the attached capture. I was fairly surprised by this although I haven't been shifting loads in line with the historic agile rates and I am unlikely to want to bother with that in the future.
