Looking for free, beginner-friendly 2D/3D floor plan software for high school classroom

Hi everyone!

I’m teaching a high school interior design course for the first time here in Canada, and I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by the software options and apps available.

We don't have access to paid professional CAD programs like AutoCAD, so I'm looking for tried-and-true free, web-based options that let students easily switch between 2D floor planning and 3D walkthroughs.

Since both my students and I are fairly new to this, I need something with a gentle learning curve that runs smoothly in a standard web browser.

A few quick questions:
What free tools have actually worked well in your practice (or classroom) or beginner projects?

Are there any free programs you'd recommend avoiding due to paywalls/export limits?

Thanks so much in advance for your help and recommendations!

Dress Styling Help

Hi everyone! This is my first time posting here, and I’m looking for some styling and accessory advice for a dress I’m wearing to an upcoming wedding.

To the Mods: I cannot add flairs! There is not an option right now!

For Context:

The Event: Outdoor wedding at a flower farm in August

The Terrain: Rough/uneven ground

My Role: Family of the couple (but not in the wedding party)

Some Important Info: 6'0" tall, size 11 feet. Hair colour is "old money" dirty blonde with fringe bangs

Note: If you post links, I am located in Canada!

I would love your specific input on three things:

  1. Earrings: I want something cute that won't break the bank, but I'm torn on the style to compliment the dress.

  2. Should I go with a long, elegant drop? Short and classic? Or a bold statement piece?

  3. Shoes: Because of the terrain, I need something stable. I’m looking for a nude or neutral summery block/chunky heel or stylish low wedge. As for height, a little bit of height is fine, but nothing crazy (no 6-inch platforms, please!)

  4. Hair Ideas: I want a style that showcases the earrings (without completely exposing my ears) and works with my fringe bangs. I’m currently debating between:

- Option A: An updo with my fringe and some soft, face-framing pieces left out
- Option B: A half-up, half-down style with soft curls and my fringe out

I’m open to other ideas or votes on which would look best!
Thanks so much in advance for your help!

Please note: I’ve included a pic of the dress on a model from the site I ordered from, this is not me!
