RMIT or Monash University for Undergrad bachelors engineering?
Hello!
I am a current year 12 student undertaking VCE and on the more conservative side, is on track for a minimum ATAR of 90. My main question is whether I should choose RMIT or Monash for Engineering?
From what I've heard:
RMIT is more practical/industry focused. It typically employs hands on learning and practical experiences to allow for the student to familiarise themselves.
Monash University is more theoretical (not to say it isn't practical) and has a higher university ranking. I
This is just what I've heard. Among all comments regarding this common question, netizens seem to prefer RMIT due to its high employment. At the end of the day, the employer doesn't regard the university you go to but rather can you do the job? If RMIT allows for higher practicality, thus allowing me to connect as much things I learn in RMIT to my real day to day job. That's something I'd value.
Maybe it's important to note, I do plan to do DUS (Defence University Scholarship), if that affects anything.
I am leaning towards RMIT but I am still open to what anyone has to say! Anyone who has had experience in either University within the engineering department; any info is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
