Plug & Charge at IONNA for $0.20/kWh nationwide all weekend!
Charge into the holiday weekend - more chargers, better tools, and holiday discounts!
There's a lot to celebrate (and hit the road for) this week! Happy Canada Day today to our friends to the north (or south from our office in Detroit) - and Happy 250th to the US this weekend!
The summer road trip season is in full swing – and with another busy travel weekend ahead of us, your Ford charging team wanted to share a few improvements made in the last few weeks to help make your summer road trips even easier.
And as always, when you hit the road, make sure your BlueOval Charge Network account is active (Ford app -> Connected Services) for easy charging payments on the go – no extra apps or accounts required. And if you have questions about road tripping your Ford EV, visit go.ford/evroadtrip.
More Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging Locations In-Network
Buc-ee's and a charge - now with Ford app payment!
Your BlueOval Charge Network access has now expanded to include al Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging locations – that’s more than 750 more plugs at more than 80 new locations where paying for charging is easy with the Ford app.
Reminder, to pay for charging with the Ford app, just tap the Energy tab, Find Public Charging, and then select the charger and tap Start Charging – no extra accounts required!
More Places to Plug & Charge With bp pulse
Plug & Charge with bp pulse is now expanding to all chargers!
Earlier this year, we rolled out Plug & Charge to 400 kW fast chargers on the bp pulse network. We’re excited to announce that Plug & Charge is now rolling out to the rest of bp pulse’s network, giving you more places to Plug & Charge. Use the Ford app to find chargers near you and learn which support Plug & Charge, including bp pulse.
More Chargers in the Ford app and Nav
Rivian Adventure Network stations are now displayed!
You will now see Rivian Adventure Network locations in Ford app search results, and Connected Navigation may soon route you to Rivian Adventure Network stations when you're on the road. Please note that Rivian stations are not in the BlueOval Charge Network, so when you get there, you’ll need to pay for charging at Rivian stations by tapping a payment card.
If you need to pay for non-Tesla NACS, the Ford app now can!
Additionally, we are rolling out non-Tesla NACS DC Fast Charging locations into Ford app search results. This feature is currently available for Android users, and will be coming to iOS in the future. This will allow you to use the Ford app to pay for charging at NACS fast chargers from any of the BlueOval Charge Network partner networks, something that previously could only be done with Tesla.
Holiday Discounts
What's better than Plug & Charge AND a deal?
From July 2-5, BlueOval Charge Network partner IONNA is offering discounted charging at $0.20/kWh (plus tax) across their entire network. If you haven’t tried out IONNA, this is a great chance to Plug & Charge and soak up those savings as well as the sun on this holiday weekend and check out a growing network with over 1,100 plugs at more than 120 locations (and always growing). Use the Ford app to find your local IONNA Rechargery, and just plug in when you get there – Plug & Charge will handle the rest!
Happy (and safe) Travels!
For everyone hitting the electric road this weekend, drive safe and enjoy the ride. I’ll be out and about in my F-150 Lightning – say hi!
Have a (Rapid) Red, (Star) White, and (Antimatter) Blue weekend!

1,900 mile Memorial Day weekend to Minnesota
First big road trip in the F-150 Lightning since getting it back earlier this year - just a reminder of how awesome road trips in this truck can be.
1,900 miles from Detroit to northern Minnesota and back, charged with Electrify America, IONNA (love the $0.20/kWh deal and Plug & Charge!), bp pulse and Ford Charge (with easy Plug & Charge), and Kwik Charge in Wisconsin (need those Kwik Trip snacks). Every charge stop was flawless.
Hitting the road this weekend? Here are some road trip tips from Ford
The summer road trip season kicks off this weekend – perfect time to hit the road in your F-150 Lightning!
If you haven’t taken an EV road trip before, or if you haven't taken one lately, Ford’s charging team wanted to highlight some ways EV road trips can be even easier.
Plug & Charge in More Places
Since last Memorial Day, we've expanded your access to Plug & Charge to include IONNA, Ford Charge, and select bp pulse chargers! That’s in addition to Electrify America, Tesla, and EVolve NY where you’ve been Plug & Charging for years. Not only is Plug & Charge easier than getting gas, it’s the most reliable way to charge – when Ford drivers use Plug & Charge their success rate for starting a charge is over 99%. So if you're out on the road this weekend, check out how easy it is to use Plug & Charge.
Even More Places to Charge with the Ford App
Plug & Charge is the easiest, but we know not every charger supports it. That’s why the BlueOval Charge Network now includes over 200,000 public chargers across the U.S. and Canada – as you head into this summer you can use the Ford app to activate and pay for charging now with 22 different networks – all with one account and the Ford app. Since last summer, that now includes BC Hydro, IONNA, and now Jule.
Holiday Discounts
From May 22 to May 25, BlueOval Charge Network member IONNA is offering discounted charging at $0.20/kWh (plus tax) across their entire network. If you're visiting an IONNA Rechargery this weekend, enjoy those savings and the simplicity of Plug & Charge together. Use the Ford app to find your local Rechargery and just plug in when you get there to enjoy the savings - Plug & Charge will handle the rest!
Electric Road Trip Tips and Tools
If you're preparing to hit the road this weekend, we’d like to remind you of the Ford Electric Road Trip Hub where we’ve consolidated tips and how-tos to help make electric road trips easy, whether it’s finding chargers along your route, using your Fast Charging Adapter, learning the difference between Google Maps EV Routing for Android Auto, Apple Maps EV Routing in CarPlay, and Connected Navigation, or paying for charging with the BlueOval Charge Network. And if things go wrong along the way, troubleshooting resources are also available.
