I'm seriously considering Kia Syros EV HTK (base) variant.
Is this the best EV you can get for under 15L.
Not interested in Tata and Mahindra.
Are there better cars in this price bracket coming soon? (In the next 12 months)

Because Syros EV HTK comes with a lot of compromises like:

- Design (I believe the black colour sort of saves your eyes)
- No rear parking camera (Available in HTK+ which is 1.5L more so not worth it)
- Not a ground up EV as it is a ICE to EV conversion
- NMC Battery

Positives that outweigh all the above:
+ Kia BMS
+ Interior
+ Safety (if it can match Syros ICE 5 star BNCAP)
+ Price (at the moment feels like great value for money option)

Test drove the Syros EV today.

Impressed by the suspension setup, interior quality (esp the HTX+).

Not so impressed with the range. So I drove 25kms both city and highway. Got an efficiency of 6.2 km/KwH which I think is poor.

Looks about alright in my eyes. (Might get black colour)

So here is what I hate the most. I’m only really considering either HTK or HTK+ variant like any sensible buyer looking at vfm. Here’s the catch, there is a crazy price difference of more the 1.5 lakhs for just a reverse camera and cruise control. Make it make sense.

I don’t want to buy the HTK variant compromising on the these features only for Kia to add another variant in the middle or revamping this bs strategy they have going on.

Has anyone interested/visited Kia showroom for Kia Syros EV HTK (base model) can confirm if Kia will provide the reverse parking camera as an accessory. It is the only variant that really makes sense pricing-wise. Only misses out on reverse parking camera and cruise control to make it perfect imo.
