Weighing the options of where to fish tomorrow. We canceled camping because of the heat, so my bf is taking me fishing to appease me.

Should I fish my families pond, with decent crappie and bass, or head to loch raven and rent a boat?

I’ve only fished Loch Raven once, had no luck. idk what the best lure/rig is and what y’all have caught.

Thoughts?

My partner and I want to go camping for the first week of July. We’ve only camped in our backyard, so we’re not really experienced.

We really want to stay somewhere with access to firewood, somewhere to clean dishes, shower, use the bathroom. We’re in central maryland.

If it has good views and hiking that’s a bonus. We also fish, so we’d love to bring our rods.

Also, what is good to bring beyond the basics?
