Be honest - would you take your 22 month old to a fireworks celebration that starts at 8:30?

My husband’s family has a dock on the lake near our house and they are having a huge fireworks display tonight at 8:30. We want to go but… toddler. Would it be a nightmare for all involved?? Should we just cut our losses and wait until next year? Ugh!

Didn’t realize the terrible 2s started BEFORE 2 😩

Son is 21 months. He’s fussy or crying or having a meltdown pretty much all day unless he’s asleep. He wants it his way or no way, loves the word “no” and is now starting to throw things. My husband and I are circling the drain with patience lmao. I thought we still had a few more months to prepare!🥴🤣

How do you pray for a person you don’t understand?

This person is not a blood relative, but is still extremely important in my life. I’ve struggled with understanding their choices (choosing men and relationships over their children, drug use, etc.) and the way they favor one of their children over the other. As a mom, it’s really difficult for me to grasp. I have prayed for the lord to soften my heart about this situation, as I love this person dearly. It’s just that sometimes I’m so frustrated and upset by their actions that I don’t even know what or how to pray for them, or my feelings about them. If there are any verses that cover this or something similar, please send them my way. This has really been troubling me and i just want The Lord to calm my mind over it.

Thank you 🤍

Needing advice🫶

My husband and I have decided we want to get our son a golden retriever eventually, but are unsure of when would be the best time. Thus me coming to you, my dear Reddit friends. He will be 2 in September. He’s super active, as most toddlers are, and loves any and every animal/bug. He has done well with the dogs he’s interacted with before and we have taught (and of course will continue to) teach him how to treat any animal. I know goldens are the stereotypical family dog, and for good reason! Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!

We’re not even 2 yet. Idk how I’m gonna make it

My son is 21 months. He is so insanely miserable to be around sometimes. And I say that with unexplainable love for him. He is screaming if he doesn’t get something, screaming if he does. We made spaghetti for dinner and I was trying to feed him out of my bowl. He squalled and refused and pointed to my husband. Turns out he wanted the same food from his dad instead of mom. He’s been like this for over a week now. I’ve succumbed to the fact that I’m giving him cheez-its for his dinner bc he spit out his second bite of spaghetti. Send help and Xanax 😭

How was your toddler’s speech at 20 months?

I know each kid develops differently and in their own way, so every parent has different experiences. My 20 month old can say about 12 words, especially his favorites like “ball”, “car”, or “bird”. He’s also starting to loosely put sentences together such as “mama go” when he wants to go outside. I read online that by this age they should know roughly 50 words, but that just kind of seems excessive to me. I know there is so much more he understands than he’s able to communicate. Would anyone like to share their experiences? Thank you:)

Kyle Busch memorial

the fan made memorial set up outside BMS. i live pretty close to the track, so I’ve been watching it grow over the last few days. such a sweet gesture and im so glad they’re keeping it up instead of removing everything. Kyle and Bristol are synonymous and I see a section of the track or something related to the track being renamed in his honor.
