I noticed that the part where the ring of the drumhead is glued together seems pretty uneven. This is a brand new Evans G 2.
I checked other/older drumheads and whilst that part is never perfectly even it doesn't looks that extreme.
What do you think?
I just bought a Zildjian 18" FX China( former oriental) and I have to say I am not impressed. I sounds super washy and lacks definition imho. (More "sh" then "ksh" if that makes sense lol)
I remember especially the 18" china beeing the gold standard for all kinds of heavy music and I knew some people who had it and I quite liked it.
Maybe it's bullshit but did Zildjian change something in the production of those cymbals?
