When did bringing laptops to kids’ sporting events become so prevalent?

I go to my kid’s wrestling practice and one time I counted 6 parents on laptops. One woman I SWEAR never gets off her phone the entire time, even during sumo or other mock events. Just a sad state of affairs in my opinion.

Same phone number across multiple locations

Curious if anyone has any first hand experience observing the ranking impact of using the same phone number across multiple locations. Google recommends local phone numbers over phone trees "whenever possible", but curious how much weight this receives.

Also from a citation perspective, wouldn't using the same phone number across multiple locations confuse citation analysis and potentially consolidate rank if phone number is ever keyed off of?

What ongoing services do you offer for local SEO?

There are very few things you can actually do to improve local SEO:

  1. Get more reviews
  2. Optimize GBP
  3. Create/cleanup citations

Number 1 is either set-it-and-forget-it, or is on the client to do (so not recurring,) and number 2 & 3 are only done once.

Google posts and photos do not have a direct impact on rank aside from slightly increased engagement signals which have a negligible impact on rank.

So my question is: what ongoing services do you offer for local SEO specifically?

How are ya'll managing GSC manual index requests at scale? Yes I know about sitemaps and internal linking, but in my experience manually requesting indexing has shown a much higher index rate than relying on Google to index by itself.

Currently I'm limited to ~10 indexes/day, but spread out over 10+ sites each with 100's of pages, it'll take forever to manually request indexing for all of the pages.

Do you know of any tips/tricks/hacks to get a higher daily manual index quota on GSC?
