We ddnt date but had moments but went no where. Very hot and cold.. mixed signals. So I decided for my peace to just cut contact w her. Now she resurfaces asking for a referree. I know she can find someone else later so im hoping to not be bothered by it. I’m not the absolute only one who can do it so im sure she’ll be fine.

Basically, a woman i connected super well with sends me a photo dump of like 10-12 photos, but only one is a photo implying she is taken (anniversary photo). And Its Not the first photo but takes a necessary scroll .. hence “slide # 11” . So I took it as a backoff signal…..
So i did but then my friend slapped me and said i missed a sign as its a massive hint that she is down and game for me to continue… but at a disclaimer and plausible deniability for her. To see how it goes for us.
It does look like a redflag but still…. If its my turn then why not.

It stung when i knew she has a bf coz she told me only after I asked her out . Maybe i misread signals. Maybe she was just overly friendly. Maybe she was just liking the attention. Maybe she did like me but confused.
But eitherway she kept me hooked and engaged … cant really blame myself for shooting my shot.
3 weeks out of minimizing contact for my sanity sake, she’s hot and cold, and no more mention of bf (again).. but i dont want to orbit and hang around. But also feeling that im getting hinted at an opening? Scared to walk away and miss my shot.

Last reply was a bit colder , and left me on unseen for days. So Thought it was my time to just move on and deleted her # . Month -ish later I get a text and seemed urgent so i legit asked “who is this”. Was her.. lol.
And suddenly im the one who’s “full of myself” … like wtf.
Had this girl i spent time with a lot —-least lots of banter, flirting and chemistry — at least for me. She jokes about blocking me once our internship is over (i have a hint she has a bf). Farewell party, We had a close physical moment but then nothing happened. And she jokes again about blocking me (but never did). Is this at least a positive sign?
I blocked a person i tried to not develop feelings or get over for before but not sure how women’s reasons are on this. Esp since we ddnt date.
Ps: I wont chase her coz of the bf though but im happy to know if it was an almost.. at least.
