I've been searching on off for a while for some Equip 05s to put on my Chaser but it's just proving excessively difficult, it seems like original non-rebuilt wheels either have too weak or too aggressive of an offset/width. The most feasible path forward at this point is going for a re-barrel using original faces, but that opens up yet another issue. Companies like VR Wheels and Sensei 6 as far as I'm aware do not use official Work barrels/lips in rebuilds since Work does not sell those parts. I have it in good word from someone who has seen a Sensei 6 re-barrel that the difference between an original Work wheel barrel and a Sensei 6 re-barrel is quite obvious visually, but what about structurally? How do these unnamed source barrels tend to hold up to the real deal? Is it possibly worth cannibalizing some cheaper Work 3p wheels just for the barrels and then mounting the 05 discs in there? Just not sure what to do.
