EDIT: accidentally named this one round 6 instead of 7

12 Fingers has been eliminated by 2 votes. Can guns out buy itself another round? Just like that we are now in the top half of the subs favorite songs from their self titled album. Click the link to vote!

I've never submitted a card for grading before

Based on your experience(s) what should I really be looking for when pregrading my cards? I've looked at PSA 9 cards very thoroughly and sometimes thought "I can't find anything wrong with this". I'm trying to avoid throwing money away and only want to send in real 10 contenders. Anyways, which of these if any are worth sending in?

If you look directly above the apostrophe in "Lillie's" you can see this oval shaped thing but when I use my light to check if it's damage to the surface, it disappears.

Out of the SIR's I've pulled from AH to my untrained eye this is probably the "best" looking card I have. I've never graded and I'm sure no one here has ever graded but I'm hoping someone is able to point out either why this is a sure fire "send it in" or a definite "don't send it". Financially, I don't want to send any card that doesn't have a strong case to 10 since the PSA9 are about the same cost as raw for modern sets. I know centering is a big deal but also heard it can still 10 as long as it falls under the 45-55 threshold.

▲ 19 r/Guitar

I was heavy into playing music in my teenage in early 20 years I was in two bands that did well locally. Life goes on I became a father or full-time but I've been moving away from my main hobby which is gaming and want to do something more creative so I decided I want to get back into playing guitar. While researching the kind of music I want to play the types of guitars that good help me get to that sound I've landed on the fender telecaster. I've also unfortunately fallen in love with a 10-year-old model. It's the 2016 surf green limited edition rosewood neck variation. I know that looks aren't everything but to have an instrument that plays well and looks good is the ultimate package. The only place I seem to be able to find it is on reverb and you don't really know what you're going to get because pictures alone won't do it justice. However, I was just curious if anyone on the sub has had any luck buying instruments that are at least a decade or older and if they play nice what is the shelf life on a well-made guitar as long as you maintain it appropriately.

EDIT: thanks for all the replies. I feel a lot more confident buying an older guitar.

Follow up question: is there a way to tell just by pictures of a guitar has been modified?
