We lost a real gem yesterday
Dr. Arvind Sharma, easily one of the greatest Hindu scholars of the past several decades passed away yesterday.
He was a sanskrit scholar and author of numerous books shedding light on our glorious heritage and traditions. His area of expertise and focus was comparitive religion.
Most importantly, he defended the manusmriti in one of his greatest works - From Fire to Light: Rereading the Manusmriti
I highly recommend each and everyone on this sub to go through that book. He re-examines and counters all the attacks against Manusmriti that one commonly observes from mainly the left, ambedkarite and christian lobby.
Hinduism as a Missionary Religion is another must read classic from him narrating through evidence how v1s and v2s actually were very missionary like in spreading dharma around the world.
Sanatan Dharma is richer with the body of work he has left behind. We are all poorer with him no longer there.
ॐ शांति शांति शांति ।।
