XL2566X+ on other games

I’m building a new PC right now and checking the second-hand market for an XL2566X+.

I play CS and COD mostly, on a 320Hz Alienware IPS. It works great for COD because I play a slow sensitivity on controller and so motion clarity isn’t a huge problem. I hear a lot though from friends that the DyAc 2 is great and I played on a friends 240Hz version (XL2544x I think?) and really enjoyed it.

I know DyAc and VRR can’t be used in tandem, and I will be getting ~300fps on COD. I know I’ll be covered for CS, but if I use DyAc 2 on COD when I’ll never hit the monitor refresh rate, will I get bad results?

Thanks :)

I’m in the middle of building a new PC for a variety of competitive FPS games but play ranked play a lot. I need to think about what monitor to get for the new setup and I’m debating between a 320Hz Alienware 1080p IPS and the ASUS ROG 240Hz OLED.

If anyone has a 9070XT / 9800X3D setup, what FPS do you guys get at 1440p low or alternatively 1080p low? YouTube benchmarks seem to always have frame generation enabled which I won’t use.

I play Counterstrike a lot too, so part of the reason I want OLED is motion clarity.

Honestly, I’ll probably get the ROG OLED anyway, but incase it’s difficult to hit a constant 240fps at 1440p low settings, I’ll get a 1080p IPS panel as a second monitor.

Thanks
