If I played only one RPG on GBA or SNES, which one should it be?

I’ve recently gotten back into playing some older video games. My usual style is platformers. I want to give one of the classic RPG’s a go, but I don’t have much time so I want to pick one really good one to commit to. What’s your can’t miss RPG on SNES or GBA?

Found this at Habitat, is it any good?

I found this slide rule at habitat for humanity for 15 dollars. I’ve never really used a slide rule before, but is this one any good?

So I finally settled on a pencil

Hello again! I posted here a while ago about purchasing my first big boy mechanical pencil that wasn’t a bic special. I got the zebra Delguard 0.5 mm. I thought it would be perfect for my heavy handed writing style. It came in the other day and knew immediately that it would not work. It had no grip and my hand was sliding all around the grip. It was also thicker than I would like.

I was at the store and happened to see these Zebra M-301’s. I like the pen version of these and decided to give them a try. Overall I really like them. The grip isn’t the best, and can get a little tiring over a long writing section, but is good over all. The erasure is also small because they have that cap to make it look like a pen on the back. The point is also kind of sharp so it’s hard to keep in a pocket.

That sounds like a lot of complaints but overall I’ve had a lot of pleasure using it. I haven’t broken lead at all since I’ve been using it and I’ve used it quite a bit. I’m still looking for something that check all my boxes but I think this is a good bridge for the moment

Thought on my new purchase?

It’s my first time buying a mechanical pencil that wasn’t a 20 pack for 5. I’ve got heavy handwriting so I hope 5mm isn’t to thin

I’m looking for a book that covers post-1492

I’m not sure if the rules allow, but do you have any good recommendations of history books that discuss modern history from around 1492 to the near present. I was hoping to find something that looks at the Colombian exchange, technological evolution and power structures. I’d love to find something that is not too euro centric, discussing what the rest of the world was doing as well.

Thank you for any suggestions!

What are your thoughts on this game?

I’ve always had a soft spot for this game. I read the trilogy when the movies were coming out, so a lot of my imagery was influenced by the films. The hobbit was the only book that had its own style in my head, but I’ve always connected this game strongly with how I view the hobbit.

It is kind of a janky game, but I love it

Darkest Hour was such a good good film

It perfectly captures the mood of an isolated Britain at the beginning of WW2. The repeated elements of isolation of Churchill shown through the visual cinematography was super. From the elevator scene shot forming a small box in total darkness to the cramped quarters in the underground war room.

Gary Oldman did a great job at capturing the mannerism of Churchill. I actually didn’t recognize him the first watch through. Even though there are some artistic license taken in regards to historical accuracy it is still a comfort movie to me

I’ve been diagnosed with Bipolar 2 for about 6 months now. I have been waffling back and forth if I actually had it or if it was in my head.

Yesterday I was tired after a long day at work and my wife wanted me to go look at a house we might buy. I started the day in a great mood but it just soured throughout the day for no reason. I said I didn’t feel like it and she pushed me to go so I said yes. My irritation just festered and I ended blowing up at her. Even when I knew I was being over the top or should calm myself down I couldn’t help but feed into the anger. I knew I was making things worse and my decisions were bad but I couldn’t stop myself. Her description of me when I got there was “like you were going to murder someone”. It took everything in me to not bite off everyone’s head at the showing, but I’m sure I still looked like a seething jerk.

Not having much to eat and bad sleep didn’t help things I know. I finally got home and just emotionally crashed. I could barely keep my eyes open and just wanted to weep. I don’t know if I’m just being an unreasonable jerk or if I’m in a fit of hypomania. It feels like an excuse to call it that. I’m so low today and can barely keep my eyes open. I don’t know what to do. I e hurt my wife and I don’t know what to do.

I’ve decided to finally read the bible through and am kind of daunted by the length. Is it worth just starting with the New Testament or does it make more sense to read it straight through. What’s the best way to dip my toe in with best understanding it?
