Aogami Super Petty Knife Laser Sharp

I got this aogami super Petty made by Shiro Kamo from CKTG. Originally I was going to gift it to a family member but decided to get them a PS60 knife and I kept the petty for myself. The knife had micro chips when recieved from chefs knives to go. I sharpened and gave it a micro bevel before deciding to keep it. Today I sharpened to 11 degrees getting rid of the micro bevel.

Aogami Super steel can take a little doing to get razor refined since its so super hard. my process was:

4.5+ hardness JNAT Ozuku with 4 stone Mikawa Nagura progression. Flax linen strop after Mejiro and before Koma followed by Koma and then flax linen again followed by 0.5 micron diamond pasted strop and 0.25 micron chromium oxide pasted strop.

While its great I have the JNAT I think the same results could be had with other fine/hard whetstone progressions like a shapton progression. More important is deburing the steel since its so hard, getting some off on the stone and interleaving stropping with the whetstone progression worked well for me to have end result this sharp.

Video is paper slice combined with hair whittle/cut. Date on the microscope video is wrong, just sharpened today.

Healthy patina starting?

Hey folks, its my first nice knife. I use it a few times a week, meat onions and other produce mostly. I put a thin coat of camellia oil on after each use. Given that I dont cook too much is this patchy patina thats coming in to be expected? I dont really feel a need to force a patina.

As far as the patina goes, just keep doing what I'm doing and let the patina form naturally? Is that what you would do?

Thanks

Experience with Versus hood louver kit?

I've ordered the Versus Engineering vent and vent rain guard kit. Anyone have any regrets about installing them? My concerns would be mostly related to the vents providing a spot or entry for corrosion from rain/snow and that sort of thing.

Thanks

Thuringian or Water of Ayr?

Can anyone help identify this stone? I lapped it and the slury is on the piece of computer paper the stone is sitting on in the pics. It came with a razor I bought a year or so ago, the guy who sold it to me didnt know anything about the stone except that he bought it at an auction with the razor and and it was labeled as "sharpening stone"
