I have no idea how to set this up on GOS. modDNS guide doesnt help. There is no advanced internet settings on user profiles. This has to be configured on owner profile?

Hi everyone,

I have an older Xiaomi Mi Box 4K running the stock Android TV software. As I've become much more conscious about digital privacy lately, I'm really not comfortable with the amount of telemetry, Google tracking, and built-in ads on the default system.
Ideally, I would love to flash something equivalent to GrapheneOS on it—a completely de-Googled, hardened, and privacy-respecting operating system.
Since I know GrapheneOS is strictly for Pixel phones, I wanted to ask this community:

1. Are there any reputable, privacy-focused custom ROMs available for the Mi Box 4K? (e.g., an unofficial LineageOS build without GApps, or something similar?)

2. If a custom ROM isn't an option due to a locked bootloader or lack of developer support, what are the best steps to harden the stock OS? Can I effectively debloat it via ADB to remove Google/Xiaomi telemetry? Is it worth replacing the stock launcher with something open-source like FLauncher?

3. Alternatively, what else could I do with this hardware? If making it secure as a TV box is a lost cause, can it be repurposed into something else (like a lightweight local media client, retro emulation box, etc.), or should I just look into entirely different hardware for a private TV experience?
