What does it mean if higher belts are asking me to roll more with them?

White belt here. Been training constantly for almost a year now and it’s all been great, everyone at the gym

is extremely supportive and we have great training sessions.

I’ve noticed that lately the higher belts have been calling me for more rolls than before and is not like a lite roll, they really put me to the test placing me in tight spots and making me earn my escapes unlike when I began training that I felt less pressure to be honest.

Is this normal? Does it mean anything? I mean I love these rolls as I feel that I’m learning a lot more but it feels weird because they’re not doing the same with the other white belts and it got me wondering.

Thanks for any advice.

Turning 50 this year, been single for a while and was considering getting out there and see about dating again. Perhaps find that special someone to share the next 50 years.

I’m healthy, extremely active, jiu jitsu practitioner, train regularly and own my own business. Live with my dogs on a farm and do work around the house for fun.

I’ve traveled and been in meaningful relationships but never settled, for various reasons things didn’t align.

But now that I’ve been looking around and going on some dates, I’ve noticed a change in dynamic, I can’t stand the drama, the lack of emotion and interest by the women I’ve been seeing, it’s like they’re numb and extremely self absorbed by the amount of attention they get on social media and dating apps. It seems a “simple” country life is not appealing to most and the ones that find it interesting or like the lifestyle have underlying issues that prevent the relationship to flow.

I’ve done the inner work and been supportive and have tried to listen to my potential partners about their needs but have not made a real connection.

I think I’m a man from a different era stuck in a timeline I do not understand anymore.

Has anyone felt the same?

I guess I’m done searching and will just enjoy the company of animals for the foreseeable future.
