The film's main theme is about Michael's emancipation from his father and family, and the struggles he had to face during that process.

I wonder what Jaafar's experience has been. He makes his achievement look so easy. In the behind the scenes, we learn that he trained a lot, Rich and Tone (choreographers) weren't convinced at first, his feet were bleeding and went numb, but other than that there is little we know although the pressure must have been enormous.

The preparation, filming and editing took so many years. It must have been excruciating not knowing what the outcome would be (winner or loser, as Joe would say). The success of the movie is a milestone in the Jackson family history. Jaafar must be so relieved that he exceeded all expectations. I wonder how he is processing it all.
