Bather question

I’ve been bathing dogs for over a year now. I’ve moved salons a lot due to home issues so I’m only slowly learning more.
However this is my first time experiencing this. I started this salon 2 months ago and I’ve been struggling with this for about 3 weeks now. It gets less red after a day but even then I can tell a slight difference in my skin color in these spots. We only use 2 products I handle every day. Some exceptions when we get special cases. I’m seeing anywhere from 10-20 dogs a day (don’t come for my groomer we work as a team with 3 bathers and 3 groomers)
It’s painful to put my hands in any water when they get red like this. Idk if I should add anything else.
I don’t need a diagnosis or anything but like am I giving myself brush burn? Is it a chemical burn? Am I allergic to the soap?

How do I navigate?

I’m a survivor of financial abuse. My entire young adult life I relied on a man who would call me a leech but would make working difficult by made up reasons.
I got out as little over a year ago and after the longest most progressive year of my life I ended up with a childhood friend.
He is good to me and kind and deals with all my issues like it’s nothing. However my health is a problem now. I work and have my own bank account and I run my life in my own but we are splitting bills 50/50 and my account is suffering. I usually only have $20 at the end of each week for just in case. No savings as we both used our savings to move out of family homes together with a roommate.
He makes good money at his job. $30/hr with overtime through the summer. I make $17.5/hr and I’m lucky if I can physically handle a 20 hour work week. We both have some physically demanding jobs and I’m set on my career but I need to thug out the starting rung on the ladder as we moved 17 hours and I didn’t get the full training in my career. I eventually will make more but I’m at the bottom of the ladder right now.
He brought up the idea a few times now of taking on more of the share of bills. While I know so many women would love that I am terrified at the idea of this man I love so much seeing me as a leech because I physically can not make ends meet until I get my health in check, if ever. I’m paralyzed at the idea my health issues could become worse and put me out of work. I love my job so much. It fulfills me and gives me so much satisfaction.
I worry also about putting any financial strain on him knowing he has student loans and credit owed. I know realistically based on income it should be like a 25/75 split but I am struggling so hard to justify that and have a loud voice telling me that I need to get over the health shit and just pull my weight.

TLDR: I was a victim of financial abuse and my healthy relationship wants the split to not be 50/50 but I am struggling with my pride and trauma. Any advice or thoughts?
