Onn 4K Pro gets stuck in Dolby Vision (or with no DV), even on the home screen and menus.

I don’t think I’ve always had this issue, but for months now with my Bravia 7 TV if I launch an app like HBO Max, it won’t be in DV even when it’s content labeled as DV. So I change the “Match content dynamic range” to off or on, I actually think it’s just whatever it isn’t currently set to, and then DV will work in the app. But then when I’m done with the app, my TV is stuck in DV no matter where I go. So then I have to toggle that match content dynamic range setting again.

I’ve tried fiddling with various display settings and I can’t get it to just switch to DV when it should, and switch back to SDR when I’m not playing DV content, especially in the menus and home screen.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or if there’s even a fix at all?

I should preface this by saying that this isn't for myself. I don't generally use IEMs, I'm more of an open-back headphone person for all of my gaming and music.

But my brother decided he really wants a pair to game with and use while streaming--they won't be used for music at all and he emphasized that he really wants them so that they'd be lower profile than his DT 990 Pro.

I'm buying them for him as a gift, so something under $100 would be preferable, where the sweet spot would be $80 if possible. The only types of games he plays in this context would be competitive shooters like Valorant, CS2, Fortnite, etc, so he'd definitely need positional accuracy more than anything else.

The only other requirements I have is that they're sold somewhere in the US with fast shipping and so that I could buy an extended warranty if I decided to. Amazon would probably be best. I don't have the time right now to use AliExpress or anything like that, unfortunately.

I'd been looking at the TRUTHEAR Pure (a little bit more than I really wanted to spend at $90, but if there's nothing better for a bit less than I could swing it), saw those recommended in an older thread.

Oh, and he'd be using them with a Qudelix-5K, so I imagine he'd have a good amount of AutoEQ to choose from on there.

I really appreciate any help!

EDIT: Went with the Simgot EG280. Fingers crossed they'll be great!
