Building one drawer at a time

3d printing the drawers one at a time. Just received another 12 wera screwdrivers so I’m above capacity and need to decide what moves out. I’ve decided each drawer should have a top layer that’s all the same color and height. Just started my Milwaukee drawer with red on missing tools and a black deck.

Driver used an old picture for delivery

My wife ordered a cell phone holder, super cheep package. Amazon reported that it was delivered at 4 AM and provided a picture of my porch with the package delivered. Unfortunately, it’s missing the blue flower pots my wife got for Mother’s Day.
I started a chat and the Amazon representative agreed to talk to the delivery company for corrective action on the driver and replaced my cell phone holder.
I assume the driver used an old picture?!?

M12 or M18 caulking gun

I’m doing a shower install now and probably caulk the outside of my house eventually.

I have the M12 grease gun and it performs well but the jobs are smaller. For this bathroom I’ll be doing a fair amount but 1/8” gaps and 1/16” so I will need some finesse.

Thoughts? Experience?

Caulking the void

One last section of tiling before I move onto caulking and grout.
Where my showers wall meet, I have a pretty good sized void. The gap is technically 1/8” as a spacer just fits between the two planes, but there is some space back there,
Should I fill that void until caulk leaks out or enough to seal the two walls together?

Cut mixing valve opening too big

I didn’t check the size of the escutcheon plate when kerti boarding. Now the hole is same size as the plate. What are my options?

Option 1 - Cut the rubber ring and overlap tile by 1/2 to 1 inch. Carefully grout between the tiles but there would be no support an inch or less around the ring.

Option 2 - Cut a larger ring than the hole and Kerti fix it to the back side of the board. Kerti fix another 1” ring to the ring I installed making the hole an inch smaller. Attach tile with backing support.

Option 3 - ???

Second murder mystery party hosted

My first murder mystery was 2022, a home coming themed party. 22 attended, great catering, spiked punch but I purchased the kit online.
This year, we wrote the entire script (258 pages) and was a RedNeck Hillbilly wedding. A wonderful couple, married 13 years were the bride and groom. We had 41 guests, all with full scripts, probably 30 plot lines so everyone had a role to play.
A dear friend of mine catered this party too and the food was beyond what we’ve ever seen at a real wedding, brisket, bbq pork ribs, burn end crustinies, bbq chicken and strawberry salad, Mac and cheese bar, corn bread, and more. I asked a local distillery to sponsor the event so he basically gave me friends and family discount on 10 fifths of alcohol. The cater’s wife is a bartender who made a moonshine drink, vodka basil drink and espresso martinis. Drinks and food were spectacular.
Reading murder mysteries posted here versus mine, I would say the big difference was props and showmanship. Some notable examples:
I created a cemetery next to the yard with an open grave with a casket at the bottom. A voodoo dr performed a voodoo ritual, complete with a two foot high flame around the grave calling out the funeral director, accusing him of stealing his dead mother’s heart and carrying it in a cooler with him. He did steal the heart, instead stole the caters bbq sauce which he brought in his cooler for friends he trusted to try. We literally could not have bbq out at this party due to this plot line.
I made a raccoon trap to scare a lady who brought $100k to buy the moonshine manor. When a fake raccoon flew out of the trap, she dropped the bag and the yogi cult member she embezzled the money from, snatched it and burned it.
Other props included tractor, mower, wedding arch, elk antlers with lingerie draped, burn book, steroid bottle and a host of murder weapons.
We felt like success would be 1 to 5 people solving, 0 or more than 5 a failure. We hade 5 successful solvers.
Good use of Gemni to write websites or apps to support including Hillbilly 23 and me site for a guest to discover who there father was, steroid prescription, messaging app giving hints to a meth cook on who to drop a gallon size ziplock bag with meth to (rock candy) and a network diagraming app showing everyone’s connections through plot lines. We also heavily used it to alter pics of guests to add color.
Here is was I learned spending probably 160 hours preparing (with partner):

  1. Design plotlines first. It’s fun to write characters, but if you write them first, it’s often hard to get them to fit plotlines.
  2. If you collaborate, use collaboration software. We lived in 4-5 Google Docs.
  3. Use AI to augment what to write, or brainstorm with AI. It not as good generating everything.
  4. Make guest scripts super simple, especially if you have alcohol. As the night goes on, attention spans evaporate.
Let me know if you have questions.
