Is this weird and can I do anything about it?

The plumber our GC hired has been pretty bad (2 leaks, and some weird choices). I’ve just seen this. it looks like a copper pipe coming out of our external wall, and feeding into the soil stack (above the first toilet/trap connection). the place where the pipe comes from is where the hot water tank is located, and also where the cold connection feeds into the top floor.

what can I do to hide this, and do I need to be worried about an exposed copper pipe on the outside of my house?

Bonus points: when we have a shower on the top floor, the sink trap on the floor below makes glugging noises - do I need to be worried?

The worst 40k Character name picture Quiz you have ever seen :)

Welcome all to my horrendous attempt at making pictures to represent famous characters from the 40k universe! see how many you can guess. I'll post the answers in the comments in about an hour. (I apologise in advance; some of them are a real stretch)

I bought the equipment for this setup, but only just realised that the Cloud Gateway ultra has no PoE, so there is nothing to power the wifi mesh or the Flex switch.

I can see 2 solutions:

  1. Add in some PoE injectors and a power cable for the switch - The downside is that this uses up 5 power sockets, so I will have to install more of those

  2. Get another switch with PoE - This feels messy, and kind of overkill. If I went this direction, the questions are: Which switch is best? and will it work if I power the Flex 2.5G with a cable from the PoE switch, but have a data connection direct to the Cloud Gateway?

Would love comments or advice!
