SoFi CC limit increased, then closed the card "at consumer's request" days later. I never requested this
I recently got a credit line increase on my SoFi credit card. Shortly after, I got a notification from Credit Karma saying my SoFi credit card was closed at the consumer's request. I contacted SoFi, and they said I requested the closure when I did not -- this was escalated internally.
I never requested this, so I'm extremely confused about why it happened. On top of the confusion, I've now lost about $10k worth of credit line & a card I had for 5 years.
I've already reported this to all three credit bureaus and escalated it with SoFi (who said I requested the closure, when I did not. They stated they have escalated it internally) and the CFPB.
I'm trying to understand why they'd close my card out of nowhere, claim I requested it, and how a mistake like that even happens in the first place. I'm unclear on what to do going forward. I also have a bigger concern as SoFi is my main bank. I have both my checking and HYSA accounts there. If they can make an error like this on my credit card, can I still trust them with my deposits, especially since my paychecks are deposited through that account?
