2005 Subaru Outback 3.0 LL Bean Edition AWD

Edit:

Post is simply to gather interest. The car will be detailed and running before selling.

Outback LL Bean Edition $2.5k cash OR TRADES. Open to all offers.

Two needs: Car needs a new OBD2 port installed (picture of wires below dash - I have the port but have been hospitalized and unable to install) Car also currently overheats and is likely caused by a stuck engine thermostat.

Both repairs will be completed before purchase OR you can take as-is with the new parts. Again, I've just been injured and unable to install. I will also have it detailed.

The car was purchased at auction and has severe drivers side interior damage. The rest of the car needs to be detailed but is otherwise clean. It isn't pretty or pristine and is intended for someone needing a reliable daily driver OR project car.

Carfax history is also available and will be provided. Clean title.

Bulging Spring - Gaps in Coils

I've been sidelined with a back injury for the better part of a year. Finally added a strut to my sagging door and think it'll need a second.

I've searched this sub as well as Google but I'm not finding answers that align with what my brain is diagnosing/seeing. I promise I DID look.

House was purchased in 2017. Prior homeowner likely installed/DIYed this themselves as this was a foreclosed home and the garage was an addition/carport conversion. That said I'm not sure exactly how old, but likely installed between 2010-2017.

Edit to add: door opener currently cannot fully open and when manually opened, the door falls and feels heavy. This is why I'm assuming they're loose or worn but just want confirmation

I'm sure these springs aren't broken, but can anyone tell me if these bulging sides and gaps in the coil mean the springs are worn, loose, or in need of immediate replacement? I am a DIYer but NOT going to repair myself with the inherent danger plus being injured. I just want to know if my diagnosis is correct and if I'll need a professional to adjust them or completely replace them
