presets on QC amps?

I’m trying to spend more time playing and less time buying gear / toan hunting… my live rig is OK and I have the Mayer plugin on my laptop so I’m theory I’m getting by just fine. But I’m interested in being able to get the same sound at home and also when playing live.

That said, I’ve pretty much given myself every reason not to pull the trigger on a mini but I keep coming back to it. One thing I love about the Mayer plugin is that the artist presets are really stellar and I don’t really spend too much time tweaking after I select one I like. If the amps have presets, I think I have my reason to buy one.

Do the built in amps on QC’s have presets? For example, when I load a Princeton reverb, is it a blank slate or are there some ready to go settings?

Thanks!

SOTB - first gig in a year this weekend!

Just got the B-Tron and I had no clue it was so freaking HUGE! Will be looking for a replacement for it soon. Open to suggestions! I picked it up because I was playing the Mayer neural DSP plugin and really liked the antelope filter.

Otherwise, the 385 functions as a boost with some EQ, notadumble clean is always on and the stacked OD channel is used for solos, Hartman rat clone is song specific. The silver box next to the notadumble is a diy spring reverb.

I’m pretty stoked with this board- it feels really versatile and does cleans and gritty tones really well. My goal recently has been to try and go less boutique, so I’m thinking about selling the Hartman and going with a motsky rat king. This is my first SOTB post- open to suggestions and ideas!

Shout out to D’Addario for making such a solid board.

Alternative to Poly D for live playing

TLDR: need a good live-ready upgrade to the poly D for my wife who has fallen in love with synth.

My wife loves her Poly D but it’s a pain to play live because it’s always drifting out of tune. It pretty much needs to be tuned every song for some gigs.

Do you have any suggestions for a synth that’s has a similar logic as the Poly D but doesn’t go out of tune? Digital or Analog are both fine. She definitely wet her synth tastebuds and she’d be happy with an upgrade that has more capabilities. I want to gift her something that is reliable, fun, and not too complicated or high maintenance.

FWIW, she currently plays a Yamaha CP73 and Behringer Poly D. She plays rock and gets a lot of inspiration from sharon van etten.

Someone previously suggestion the sequential forum and the moog messenger. Both look good but wondering if I should expand the horizon a bit or if there’s a reason to pick one over the other.

Thanks in advanced for any /all recs!

I have 2 boox go color 7’s (mine and my wife’s) and they worked perfectly up until 2-3 months ago.

Neither device seems to be able to connect to the internet. It can’t find firmware updates, apps don’t work, play store not working, and the internet browser doesn’t work. I confirmed that my router is not blocking the devices. Boox drop works fine so I know WiFi is connected and it’s on my home network.

Does anybody have advice on how to fix this?
