Honestly why has nobody realized the connective tissue for a great Batman and dc cinematic universe is really dick Grayson? Growing up with a character is POWERFUL

1, Batman adopts dick while investigating a dark organization that killed dicks parents (court of owls, ras al ghul, the falcones it really doesn’t matter). Dick and Barbra hero worship Batman to differing degrees. Barbra gives Batman intel that helps him investigate, access to police footage and files that Batman cannot get. Dick more directly gets involved. Maybe it’s not bad for him to be a dad.

2 set up a young naive in over his head Clark and confident Kal el that people look up to. A humanity vs aliens plot with lex luthor due to leftover brainiac tech. The human wants to be the god. Luthor and Slade work with Amanda Wallers predecessor this time to fight Superman as part of an earth protection task force. But Luthor ego has him take over it completely.

3 Allow Batman to start wavering. Add the killing joke, a Barbra/dick relationship. Barbra gets crippled by joker. Grayson nearly goes over the edge and his flaws from last movie namely wanting revenge for his parents and Barbra causes conflict along with Batman not thinking he’s ready. Hes not. But the bat is also too protective. Greyson could even save bats at the end before they have the disagreement about his readiness. They split up.

4 Superman fights brainiac saves starfire and supergirl from his genetic zoo ships where they run experiments on people.

5 teen titans. A story about found family and acceptance of others. Slade as the antagonist working for Amanda Waller directly. They win but in a less than amazing way that makes it obvious he’s still at large. But they found family and people who accept them. Amanda drops slade, or slade drops Waller.

A Martian manhunter vs Waller movie could go here same themes. Humanity accepting heros.

6. Superman enters Gotham. Waller gets in contact with Batman giving him egregious intel on him and brainiacs machines claiming he’s a conqueror. Batman gets territorial and they conflict mostly out of the mask as they both recognize eachother rather easily, it’s not Batman vs Superman but they do spat. They have adopted family dating afterall. They help eachother take down luthor who has discovered kryptonite.. Justice league is set up. Jason Todd is adopted by Batman.

7.Brainiac would be the first justice league villain, working with some outside force. His machines use kryptonite making Wonder Woman, Martian manhunter, and hawkman more neccessary. Only Superman can truly beat brainiac tho. Batman is the man on the computer.

8.Another teen titans movie sets up trigon with the slade raven in Hell plot. They win through the power of their mutual respect and family ofc. Slade gets trapped in hell.

9. Positive Superman/supergirl movie to break up the edge. Set up Darkseid, though they don’t fight him. Just one of his lieutenants. This should mostly take place in space imo setting up green lanterns and other groups for future plots.

10. Finally a wonderwoman movie. Big prequel. Greek era. Have fun with it. The end sets up another connection to darkside.

11 Continuing the Batman through line, I’d even have Todd die to joker in the next Batman movie midway through. And dick see this as a further failure of his mentor and again demand joker die. Batman would of course push back on this. The rest of the movie he would fight scarecrow and joker, only carpturing scarecrow.

12 Trigon ends the arc. With the justice league and teen titans teaming up. Batman and nightwing being the men on the computer for the others means they get to have their differences and contrast with Superman/supergirl. They should only win by the skin of their teeth. Someone should die. Lois lane, jimmy olson, Barbra Gordon.

13 the final nightwing Batman movie, the movie starts with people disappearing. Getting maimed. Greyson and bats think it’s joker, who is on the run from something trying to kill him. Bats gets caught. Greyson nearly kills him. Red hood blindsights Greyson and kills joker in bloody brutal fashion. Red hood is the reason people are going missing. He doesn’t care what happens to criminals and sells them to doll maker to fund himself. Batman and Greyson are obviously horrified. Red hood is eventually redeemed and kills doll maker himself. Greyson finally understands Batman’s point about vengeance and why they can’t kill. He becomes nightwing. Batman recognizes he was too protective and Greyson was ready.

14. Green lanterns movie.

15. Kara movie that ends in her captured by Darkseid.

I really think Greyson should be the binding to the universe and real heart of it. He’s the best character to grow up with and have light hearted movies turn to rated r sequels. 🤷

And I know I’m not a writer. But still. Add more throughlines and connections in and I’d be happy with it.

At the moment I’m using all flesh must be eaten. But there could easily be better systems out there.

I want tactical gunplay and the ability to make gonzo special zombies… the setting itself will be gonzo as mummies werewolves and vampire terrorist cells all took their shot to end the world after humans released a super human serum…. That accidentally makes people zombies instead of super soldiers that can fight off supernatural’s. Oops.

Also a human rescuing ai might totally be out there who came to the conclusion the only way to save humanity is to turn them all into mindless cyborgs.

And some witches.

Of course all of these species and organizations are hella secret and everyone gets a big surprise when they learn this stuff is real. Players would mostly be mundane humans fighting back against all these groups…

I figure I may need to homebrew a different system if I wanna swap. And All flesh must be eaten does treat me well so it would take a lot for a flip.
