The Era of the Gods has some very specific characteristics, such as the direct interference of Hylia, the origin of races and religion, the development of peoples, and the succession of the Zonai by the Sheikah and Hylians. Therefore, it is a remote era that recounts the beginning of the history of civilization.

The new Hyrule Chronicle places this era at the beginning of the Breath of the Wild's exclusive timeline, and with all the official information we have, it's possible to conclude that the events in the past of Tears of the Kingdom may be positioned there allegorically, but in reality they take place before and during Skyward Sword era.

The conclusion is that The Hyrule Chronicle prioritizes the division between events recounted in the present era and the era of myth, even if the chronological time between them may be simultaneous.
