Hi everyone! I’m a 21-year-old(female) looking for a psychologist in Iloilo and would really appreciate insights from people who have personally consulted with any of these doctors.
I’m currently deciding between:
Dr. Aimee Chua
Dr. Henrietta Española
Dr. Daisy Daquilanea
My main goal is psychotherapy and self-healing, not medication as the first approach. I’m looking for someone who:
really listens and doesn’t make me feel rushed,
helps me understand myself and my emotions,
works through childhood trauma and relationship issues,
is open to focusing on therapy first (if appropriate), rather than immediately prescribing medication.
If you’ve had personal experience with any of them, I’d love to know:
How was your first consultation?
Did you feel heard and understood?
Do they spend time talking through your concerns?
Do they incorporate psychotherapy, or are the sessions mainly focused on medication?
