First episode, leg incident

Does anyone else wonder how Taissa managed to butcher that girl's leg so badly just from sliding into her? Like so much of the flesh came off? I fail to see how that could actually happen irl

Elijah woods is such a Meme

I haven't seen him in anything other than LOTR. And it's so funny seeing him appear as a wacky genius reddit detective in this show after the 'vill u vear vigs' meme went viral 😭 I'm so glad he is in the show. Definition of perfect casting. Hate how misty treats him thoughhttps://pin.it/4HGTStPEg

Sophie Nelisse and the book thief movie

Did anyone else see/and read the Book Thief before watching yellowjackets? I grew up with that film. She was my gay awakening when I was like 10 and I still can't watch the film without crying at the end. It's one of the best books ever written too I've read it like at least 4 times. Probably watched the movie at least 7 times no lie. Funnily enough, I genuinely had no idea yellowjackets was a violent series. I genuinely, genuinely thought it was about football. I didn't read the premise at all. I was just bored and wanted to watch something with Sophie Nelisse in and my god was I in for a shock 😂

And I knew of Ella Purnell since I was 12 since I saw Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children in the cinema. Also a great book too

Top 5 faves

Comment ur top 5 fave characters and why!!

1)Nat. Sarcastic rockstar gf. I loooove her. Easily one of the most principled women in the show. Amazing huntress and really has her head screwed on. Saved the rest of them. Honestly was so forgiving to misty. It was more chivalrous than misty deserved that Nat kept the secret of it being Mistys fault they were never rescued. I related to her daddy issues and loved her dedication of trying to solve Travis' death. The addiction storyline is the most normal reaction to what went on imo.

  1. Laura Lee. Ahh she's such a lovable cutie.. Made a huge sacrifice for the team flying that plane. She just deserved endless teddy bears. Held steadfast to hope always and that's inspiring as hell. I liked how she tried to introduce Lottie to spirituality in a benign way. The baptism scene was beautiful.

  2. Travis. Honestly one of the least problematic characters. Principled and very loyal to his little brother. Doesn't get angry much. Yeah there was that very brief hangup he had over body counts but he's sposed to be like 16 right? And he got over that. He was also really caring towards akilah and supported her which I liked. Honestly just kept himself to himself alot of the time and didn't engage in the hunts which implies a lack of corruptability.

  3. coach Scott... So resourceful despite being an amputee. I can't even imagine how painful it was for him to have his leg chopped off and tbh he barely went on about it. He was kind to misty depsite her being... Misty. He looked after Mari and let her go depsite knowing the consequences for him. He is one of the few characters who is actually accountable for his mistakes too eg not being helpful to shauna in labour etc etc. I hated his ending. Very realistic portrayal of intense depression.

  4. akilah / Jeff

Jeff is such a himbo I grew to rly love him. Had some of the best lines in the show. Eg there isn't a book club and talking about his love for unhinged women. He was so loyal to shauna depsite her faults he was willing to go to jail for her.. Alos such a sweet dad, I loved his relationship with callie and them smoking a j together

Akilah is such a sweet animal lover!! She's like bambi personified. I love how she's often holding a bunny or tripping on poisonous cave fumes, she's such a vibe. I liked her soft dynamic with Travis although I mainly just ship them as friends. I think she was looking for some kind of meaning to it all by wanting to believe in the wilderness but she was also so bewildered by it all which I felt relatable. I'm glad I've heard she's getting more screen time next season. The scene when she befriended the little mouse was so sad. It's clear that animals are her comfort. I feel she'd be vegan irl.

Travis

I love Travis. He's so sweet and genuine and just way more composed. I feel like the attempted gang rape scene was so overwhelmingly sadistic and it was clear Travis had ptsd due to his flashbacks. And it's undeniable that if it had been a bunch of guys who gang raped a girl, people wouldn't excuse it so much due to extreme hunger and tripping etc. #travismartinez before I get down voted, would you say tripping and hunger explains rapist behaviour alone if the genders were reversed?
