why larceny if no asportation

help I hate " other crimes "

adaptibar said B is incorrect. The employee did not merely attempt to take the watch; he did take it with the intent to steal it. The attempted larceny charge merged into the larceny charge when the employee committed the larceny.

does picking it up really count as a "slightest movement"?

BARBRI - Where to get MEE Rules

Hi all, I made a comment in a post the other day and it got enough upvotes that I thought I'd share in a big post. Sorry, Themis friends and others - this is for a BARBRI-specific resource.

If you need help making rule statements for your MEEs, use the self-grading checklist in the UBEW in Barbri. The BarbriConnect lecture on Jun 18 goes into detail about how to do this, and you can view that in the MyBarbriConnect tab on your PSP. Credit to my law school bestie for putting me onto that lecture.

Here's a short explanation:

Open a word doc

Go to the UBEW SELF GRADING CHECKLIST (not the outline)

Copy and paste the rules that don't analyze the fact pattern into a doc

Clean them up and add from your course companion where you see fit

Voila you have a nice battery rule funnel ready for your MEE practice

What a completed one looks like (for me) for Civ Pro:

Hope this helps my BARBRI warriors!

Adaptibar vs. Barbri

The Adaptibar questions seem to test on rules that are more complex then what is covered in the deep dive. For example, I just got a question wrong about when the court cannot rely on jury instructions to cure harm and that derogatory remarks made repeatedly by an the attorney were grounds for a motion for new trial. The Barbri civ pro deep dive doesn't even cover manifest injustice! Am I crazy or is Barbri gaslighting me? How is the deep dive even a deep dive then? How is this course preparing me for the bar? Are the adaptibar questions harder then NCBE questions? I only bought Adaptibar so that it would be more similar to the NCBE.

Question about deferment/ repayment dates

Hi all,

I just graduated law school and am set to start making 100k in a decent CoL area in fall 2026, as long as I pass the bar exam.

I only have about 82k in student loans thanks to scholarship. However, I am confused because I see that my direct grad plus doesn't start repayment until August 2027 and my direct fed unsubsidized loans don't start repayment until February 2028. Is this normal? I expected student debt payments to start this fall 2026.

I ask because, this summer will be a tight squeeze financially and I'll only be able to work part time. So if I don't have to plan for monthly loan payment this August that would be super and I can focus on getting the cash together for moving expenses.

And follow up, does this later date mean that once I have my income I can pay down my interest before it becomes capitalized??

Thanks so much.

I haven't played consistently since 2022. But I come back to the game around this time of year as a student in finals. I was hardstuck bronze few years back and mostly played unrated or comp with my friends.

I know rn the meta is shitty, but I've been having an absolutely delightful time in unrated, which was NOT my experience years ago... comms, ppl r funny, vibes are good. comms in unrated for 4 lobbies straight? unthinkable in 2022 val.

also there are way too many big maps and way too many agents now. holy shit.

title. I'm disciplined and do not get test anxiety, and I get good grades, so I'm not super worried; however, I do have depression (that's obviously been worse since the diagnosis). I have a therapist and am medicated. chemo is likely to start after graduation and continue well into my first job, which is in a different state from my family and my law school.

job offer is contingent on passing though.

if anyone has been through this, I would appreciate some advice.
