Tag Grenade - It doesn't have to be useless - Embark, boost the range to 20-30m!

As more scenarios are added that affect visibility (Night Raid, and Hurricane), there opens up a space for Tag Grenades to be super useful. But 6m is next to nothing.

If the range was opened up to 20-30m, tag grenades could become essential parts of a raiding kit to avoid unwanted conflict, counter rats, avoid traps, or get the jump on people. Not to mention avoiding hidden Arc (SHREDDERS) that might be at the end of a zipline, for example.

And while we're at it... how about tag grenade traps?

Test drove this past weekend and loved it - but 6'2" is too tall to comfortably fit.

This weekend was finally the test drive - I had all my deal numbers established, bank set up, wife not tirading... via email I had three dealers agree to $2k customer cash, $4k dealer incentive, and $1.5k Costco special ($7.5k off MSRP for the Limited).

And the car is awesome. The seats are comfortable, and there is plenty of room in the rear. Fit and finish is great, Sapphire Blue is very pretty, and performance is a blast. But at the lowest seat setting (with a mostly upright recline), the visor is at my eye level. The ceiling feels about 3-4" lower than my 2012 Forester. At 6'2", Foresters are still the only cars that provide a full field of vision.

I have been waiting years for exactly what the Trailseeker is offering, but unfortunately the wait continues. For those who can fit, get it while the deals are hot.

I'm also happy to share any research if you have questions.

Clarification on current (May 2026) dealer incentives?

From what I saw in a post two weeks ago, the current deals are:

$2k customer cash towards down payment

$4k hidden dealer incentive

0% financing for 72 mo.

Costco also offers some small amount off, but is that in addition to those deals above or are they pulling from the same pot?

But most importantly, can anyone confirm these are still active as of this week? I am test driving this weekend and I would like to be armed with up to date information before haggling.

Appreciated as always.

New to EV's - how should I prepare and what are things to know?

I have a 2012 Forester, and the Trailseeker is the first car to look like a worthwhile upgrade since buying my Forester in 2011.

However, I have never owned an EV. What are all the accessories you need to purchase? Any advice from other Subie owners on making the transition? I took the Forester on plenty of light trails (and some not-so-light) - am I crazy to considering doing the same with the Trailseeker?
