CCW instructor in North Central Florida

Hey y'all,

I just learned that I will be moving back to Florida after a four-year hiatus. During my time away, I let my CCW lapse, thinking I would never need it again.

I want to go through another CCW class once I'm settled back in Florida. I know the requirements are pretty minimal, but I'd like to at least get a refresher on any updated laws.

Is there any exceptional CCW instructor that you've had a good experience with in the north central Florida region?

Hi all,

I have been getting calls from a collection agency regarding an old debt my former employer ran up. It turns out the company is undergoing bankruptcy, and the former contractor has placed the debt in collections under my name. The debt is from 2022, and I left the company in 2024. I was the main contact for this contractor, but I was merely a project manager. I received the invoice, passed it onto our accountant, which was then in charge of paying the bills. It turned out that the company was having money problems, and was unable to pay.

I tried to explain to the collector that I was an employee at the time and no longer worked there. She told me multiple times that the debt was in my name, not the company's, and that I would be responsible for the full amount. The former CEO told me not to worry, and that they were just using scare tactics to force a payment.

What should I do? I don't want this to go on my personal credit file. Has anyone else dealt with something similar?
